Should I advertise as a farmer? Yes or no?
Manfred Hudjetz

Our clients invest in their future to successfully start in direct marketing. When we discuss the business plan together and come to the topic of advertising, opinions often diverge due to the costs.

“Yes, of course”… with these two words, a well-known local supplier has made its way into our minds!

Yes, of course, that is also my answer. A good product is an important component of success. "Do good and talk about it," they say. I say, "Produce good and talk about it!" What use is the best yoghurt, the tastiest meat, the freshest fish, etc., if your future customers know nothing about you?

As a very good example, I always take the banner for the construction fence. I often visit our customers during the renovation work. Everything is exemplary cordoned off... but my gaze always falls on pallets, construction waste... behind the construction fence... a banner that beautifies the construction fence has two advantages. I cover the view of the construction rubbish and use the banner for an announcement. "Our farm shop is being established here," "Soon there will be the freshest milk here," "We are looking for employees" are just a few examples.

Make a brand out of yourself! Increase your visibility. Create a recognisable identity!

Advertising boards for the sports field, advertising banners for events, vouchers for samples… on our homepage you will find more suggestions under "Promotional Items & Marketing Ideas".

Don't forget the classics like business cards, flyers, and ballpoint pens. If you choose to go with ballpoint pens, please see for yourself the quality. I received some ballpoint pens as a gift from one of our suppliers some time ago. A large, well-known, and internationally successful company. The ballpoint pens were partly dried out, broke while writing... the gift was surely well-intentioned... but a bitter aftertaste now always lingers in my mind.

Lastly, an important point. Kindness!!! Always treat your employees and customers with respect and be friendly. This is also advertising! Positive word-of-mouth is the best advertising... and the best part... it doesn't cost a penny!
